    Awesome Links #2

    Caturday-Portland-Pet-Photographer

I’ve been taking a break from the blog the last week or so, but not for a lack of photos. I’m burning through rolls of film by the day, but with that, there’s always the waiting game.

Mostly, though, I’ve been running around making plans for 2012 and trying to relax a bit before things start getting crazy again! So far I’ve been good about reviving my Flickr, so be sure to check out my stream for your fix of cats and food, in case my mini-break turns into a mega-break. :)

In the meantime, here are some links to awesome things I’ve been enjoying on my mini-break:

This is my favorite day of the week, despite being prone to completely forgetting what day of the week it actually is. I can’t help it — I always fall into that Sunday stereotype of lazing about in the mornings and just farting around in the afternoons. I have a warm gato on my lap and am snacking on clementines as I type. Life is sweet.

I’ve been meaning to spread the link love on this here blog and acknowledge all the things that make my life awesome that I don’t get a chance to photograph and share. So now, for the first time ever, I present you with:

    Awesome Links For Awesome People

    • This may be old news, but I just found out: Remastered versions of the Smashing Pumpkins’s Gish and Siamese Dream are available on Spotify, with a pantload of unreleased and remastered b-sides. I was a huge, angsty Pumpkinhead back in the day, so I’ve been on a pretty big binge with this stuff.

    • Do you follow Ricky and Diyosa on Flickr? They are ridiculously nice, and film-shooters extraordinaire. Just when I think I’m going to tone down on shooting film for a bit, I look at their streams and the next thing I know I’m putting in an order for a dozen rolls. No, really, I just bought a baker’s dozen of film this week. Gah!

    • Speaking of SF, I’m planning a trip in May and am seriously wiggling my butt in anticipation of visiting Photobooth and getting a tintype done. Seriously… How cool? (Super duper cool!)

    • Ground Kontrol, an arcade pub in downtown Portland, is now a full-service bar! This is great if, say, you have a husband with a gluten allergy who can’t drink beer while he sends those colorful ghosts back from whence they came.

Hmm… Video games? Now that sounds like a pretty good Sunday activity! Have a good one, guys!
