Let’s Talk Memories

My childhood was spent moving around a lot. To this day I have a hard time answering the question, “Where are you from?” And to this day, I’ll usually just answer it with a generic, “California.” I wrote obsessively as a kid and built wall-to-wall collages of imagery snipped from magazines. Mostly Rolling Stone. I had it big for Billy Corgan back in the day.

Mostly, though, I was constantly worried about forgetting my memories as I got older. But as fate would have it, a lot of memories from the 9th grade I would actually love to forget. ;)

When I was 16 my best friend taught me how to use a camera — a Canon AE-1. That’s when things started to get interesting. I no longer had to rely on my chicken scratch in a Lisa Frank notebook to remember things; all it took was the click of a button and whoomp! There it was.

I would like to do the same for you.

You have many memories ahead of you. Perhaps you met someone, and you really like them. Perhaps you’re getting married! Or perhaps you’re just so utterly happy with your life right now that you never want to forget it.

I never want you to forget, either.

I love life. Whether we work together professionally or personally, I’m dedicated in documenting our too short and totally awesome time together. And someday, when your memory fades, you will still have the photographs to look back on.

That’s what I live for.

That’s why I’m a photographer.
