Reading List
Recently I finished a nearly two-year endeavor of reading the Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkien. I’m eager to finish the trilogy but not foolish enough to dive right into the third book, so I’m taking a break from Middle Earth for a bit.
Guapo Comics and Coffee
Some things were meant to be.
Chris and I picked Ben up from the airport yesterday and on the way back we drove too far south on the freeway, eventually ending up in the Foster-Powell neighborhood, which none of us had ever been to.
Diary of a Kitchen Table
I’m not gonna lie: rarely do we actually eat our meals at the kitchen table, because it almost always looks like this – a jumble of cameras, lenses, cables, notepads and whatever else gets caught in the tornado. I’m really bad at keeping the kitchen table tidy, and the reigniting of my affair with film...

Labor Day Weekend (Part I)
Though the spirit of Labor Day Weekend is all about laying around, eating till you explode and enjoying a three day weekend, I still had to go to work and serve up coffee for 7 hours a day (not complaining, though because I totally got holiday pay on Monday.
Busted!
Went on a little photo walk with the boys about a week ago. It’s inevitable that I lag behind any event that involves walking from Point A to Point B. Mostly because my little ant legs can’t keep up with normal sized people, but also because I’m always trying to sneak around and take secret...
Epic Adventür
A little while ago my best friend, Ban, had talked about tentatively putting together a D&D campaign that’s run through the mail. He had all kinds of his own special twists to the idea – like having the story be told through drawings by the players – which we immediately volunteered to be beta-testers for....

In the event that I disappear from the world completely for the next few days, you now know why. :)

Only The Boring Get Bored
While sitting in our living room this afternoon I took a glance at our little side table, which is always stacked full of library books, video games and decks of cards. Another picture waiting to happen.
Although it’s never this precarious, of course.
Feed the Birds
The reason for this post is two fold… Or two-and-a-half fold.
First, I wanted to share these photos of some pidgeys I took at a MAX station earlier today. I love the expressions on so many of their faces. My favorites are the ones that look like their head is just completely empty.
Wizard’s First Rule
Chris checked Wizard’s First Rule by Terry Goodkind out of the library a bit ago and it’s due back tomorrow, so this whole last week was frantic with the thought of going back on the wait list. It seems to be a popular series– and with good reason.
Geek Round-Up
What a disappearing act I’ve been lately! Many apologies but, as all bloggers know, life has its way of just happening sometimes. This week has been really physically hard on me.
I’ve been working 5am-1:30pm all week… Going to bed at 7 and waking up at 3am to get ready for work is no fun!
