A little while ago my best friend, Ban, had talked about tentatively putting together a D&D campaign that’s run through the mail. He had all kinds of his own special twists to the idea – like having the story be told through drawings by the players – which we immediately volunteered to be beta-testers for.

Yesterday, Chris and I got our starter kits in the mail. I marveled over the envelope for at least 5 minutes before tearing it open (I had to verify that Ban did not actually hand-draw on every single envelope, otherwise I never would’ve opened it!). Inside was an introductory letter, as well as Ban-style doodles and the classic hand-drawn typography.

Still trying to decide whom/what my character should be, but I’m leaning towards Tall Mouse for the prospective cheese rewards that might be in my future! :D

Long story short: my best friend is the best.
