Post-Porkchop Wanderings
The following photos were shot after Ben and I devoured our porkchops on a stick in St. John’s. We’d always meant to visit Cathedral Park and randomly found the makeshift parking lot while trying to make an illegal left-turn onto the bridge.
Minimum Day
On slow days at my job I’m always the first to volunteer going home early. Mostly I get sent home around 10:00AM, 7:30 at the absolute earliest. Last week I scored a new record, though: 5:15 AM. Did I mention our shifts start at 5:00?
Mee-yow!
Two kitties from my block that will meow your head off if you let them.
Happy Caturday!

Braveheart (Part IV)
It’s not often that I find myself wandering around in the SE – I’m far too much of a hermit to leave my little 1-mile radius on any sort of regular basis. But when I do end up in the Hawthorne neighborhood, I make sure to stop by and say hello to Braveheart.
Sacramento to Portland
After our visit to San Francisco back in April we rode up to Redding for Easter weekend and then flew home out of Sacramento. We decided to have a little fun with the toy camera and fired off almost half a roll while flying above California and Oregon.
Clips Of My Weekend
For those who don’t already subscribe, the lovely Kate Miss has a weekly feature on her blog, For Me, For You called Bits Of My Weekend, in which she visually summarizes her time off the clock with still photographs.
We’ve been toying with the Olympus Pen like mad lately, so I thought it would be fun...
Stretch!
This kitty lives in the SE near my favorite pho restaurant. I first met him/her when I bought my macro lens and was eager to test it out on a moving subject… Decidedly not an easy task! I especially like the second shot, even if it is a little out of focus.
Albina Library (Part II)
I love a lot of things about this photo, but what I love most is that you can see Chris standing inside the library. He’s obscured by the person next to him, but his head is poking out above the no smoking sign on the window.
2011 Snow Day
Chris is putting on his shoes as I type so we can go out for coffee and then pick up the negatives from our SF trip (!!!) but I wanted to pop in real quick and post some shots from Portland’s pathetic little snow day from back in January.
Ballin’
Tuesday happened to be one of the most beautiful days Portland’s hand in months. I took advantage of the opportunity (as I type this, it’s hailing) and went out to lunch with Chris and Andrew on Mississippi. We had pizza (the gluten-free Greek Geek at Mississippi Pizza Pub is TDF, for the record) and then...
Harlowe at the Woods
When Harlowe and the Great North Woods kicked off their tour last month they started with a show at the Woods. It was also the record release party for another great local talent, so the place was packed and I wasn’t able to get a great variation of shots.
Not Felix
A testament to how busy and pre-occupied I’ve been lately, I was fretting over letting the blog gather too much dust, which resulted in a downward spiral of thoughts that basically ended up with me, friendless, curled up in a Pepto-Bismal crate in a dark, lonely, internet-less alley (if you got that joke, then I...
