Jessica Pratt‘s been obsessed with cute animals for as long as she can remember. But when it was time to become a proud mama, it was a grey fluffer with a white button nose she had her sights on. His name was George.
George lived at the San Francisco SPCA, where you don’t even have to enter the building to get your aww‘s for the day — a quick stroll down Florida Street will give you a peek at some of the furballs up for adoption.
But when Jessica and her boyfriend went to meet George, they couldn’t get past how much of a butthead he was to his sleek, all-black room mate. After a small deliberation, they went back for one last glance at the two, and that’s when they saw George’s room mate sitting in front of the TV, enamored with the glowing box of magic.
It was that precise moment when they said, “She’s the one.”
Happy Caturday!

awww, it looks like my baby. :) love love love.
Such a great story! And it’s great that she adopted a black cat – they’re the hardest to find homes for, which is crazy because they are so sweet.
If you happen to be at the SPCA in SF, walk across the street to Animal Care and Control (the city shelter). I volunteer there as a photographer and they’ve get some great cats too.
