The Center for Spiritual Living
The Center for Spiritual Living (CSL) is the name of the church that my MIL was recently ordained at. Though they have some wonderful details inside, the real beauty is in the grounds behind the building, which act as a sort of “backyard.” Many people volunteer their free time to help maintain the area, and additions are always underway.
The purpose of this visit was to try and capture some photos of the labyrinth, which is more of a walking meditation than a maze, but it’s so massive I couldn’t even get the whole thing in frame! If I’d had a ladder and wide angle lens at my disposal I could’ve nailed it, I think. Ah well, coulda shoulda wouldas don’t get us anywhere in life.
Instead, enjoy these photos of the church grounds, and if you’re ever in the Redding area feel free to stop by – the labyrinth is open to the public, and people of all faiths.

Wow, this is a beautiful area. You’d be hard pressed not to be at peace walking through there, I think. Fourth from the bottom: I love how the leaves are there out of focus. And I really like the photos of the statue, especially the composition of the second. =)
gorgeous!
