Between some recent weddings I got to pick up a session with Portland folk band, Gallop. If you haven’t heard them yet, do so immediately. Go on! I’ll wait.
Good stuff, right?
Calla has a sweet voice, but it can also be hauntingly beautiful, and Kyle’s banjo is the icing on the Americana cake. I’m really excited for their CD release next month, which you can pre-order on their bandcamp page.
Here’s a peek at some of my favorite shots from our evening together with their beloved canoe and Mexican blanket.
Thank you Calla, Jesse, Kyle and Haley for a much needed breather during wedding season. And, of course, thanks for the wine, cheese and chocolate, too. You guys spoiled me. :)

Oh my God, Kim, you’ve done it again! Is that the session you were telling me about? The second to last photo cracks me up and it’s also really really amazing!
Thank you, Anne! You’re too kind.
I would gladly pay for an “editing by Kim session”
Hah! Thanks Gen. We’ll have to talk shop sometime when you’re settled in the PNW.
Amazingly fabulous work!!
Those individual portraits with the blanket wrapped around are to die for. You blow me away every time I check in!
These are so rad! Great job.
