Dinner 6-28-2010

Earlier this summer, Sparky’s had a string of daily specials to celebrate their 10th anniversary. I was excited– you could get a large one-topping pizza for $5.99. FIVE NINETY-NINE! But then my spirits deflated when I realized Sparky’s doesn’t cater to the gluten-free diet, so the likelihood of me enjoying a cheap pizza was shot.
Until I came home from work the night of the special. Chris had played it off like he’d forgotten to make me dinner after my night of work, when in reality he’d gone to Sparky’s, bought a pizza exactly the way I like it (pineapple on white sauce, num!) and had it warming in the oven when I got home.
Dipped it in barbecue sauce + ranch, ‘coz I’m an Amurrican, and had it for lunch the next two days after that.
Husbands of the world, take note.

Brilliant, Chris! I believe this is an area where Brendan shines. His gestures tend to focus on yummy food surprises. He’s figured out the way to my heart is not jewelry but a homemade deep fried Mars bar. ;)
Hold the phone – you can make that kinda stuff at HOME? I’ve only ever seen the occasional deep-fried this-or-that at carnivals and fairs!
