Post-Porkchop Wanderings
The following photos were shot after Ben and I devoured our porkchops on a stick in St. John’s. We’d always meant to visit Cathedral Park and randomly found the makeshift parking lot while trying to make an illegal left-turn onto the bridge. It was so beautiful down there and made me wish I knew more about photographing bridges.
Later, Ben got a hankering for ice cream, so I took him to Ruby Jewel on Mississippi. Then, we visited The Meadow and sampled more kinds of salt than I knew were available in this world. Those little bricks in the window of the second-to-last photo? Those are slabs of salt. Best store ever.

been here almost a year and the regional-ness of Portland is still fascinating. the NE could be a few miles away, or a different planet. :)
love the meadow – makes me want to send salt to everyone I know *right now*.
These photos are beautiful! The last two are my favorites. Totally capture the essence of spring right now. Ah, I want to move to Portland more and more!
I love Cathedral Park! Seriously, if we don’t bump cameras in Irving Park, perhaps Cathedral Park will be the place :) I wish I knew more about photographing bridges too. I once had the idea for a bridge photography project – trying to snap a shot of every bridge in Portland. Someday…
