You would think that being into fast cars and vodka would make Evan the adventurous one. But the truth is that it’s the seemingly demure Jessica that brings crazy ideas to the table. Ideas like teaching English in Thailand for a year… And then bringing home a sick Thai cat to nurse back to health. Best souvenir ever, right?
I can see why Evan lets out a big grin every time he sees Jessica — the two were totally made for each other. I couldn’t be happier that they let me hang out for a day with all their fun, loving (and fun-loving, to be sure!) friends and family.
Jessica and Evan’s outdoor wedding took place at Camp Royaneh, which is just a couple hours north of San Francisco. The camp grounds are tucked away in California’s magical forest and there were even horses that roamed the site. Like I said: magical!
And when it came time to transition from Pretty Town to Party Town, the guests had a little extra push from Evan’s Russian side of the family, who supplied homemade flavored vodka for each and every table.
Happy wedding, Jessica and Evan! Here’s to many, many more years of excitement and adventures.

So beautiful, Kim! The ceremony was so unique and the reception looks like it was a blast!
Magical indeed! My goodness did you rock this wedding. Super awesome job =)
fantastic pictures!!! you captured the mood so beautifully…
I see so many different lenses in your tags, I’m curious which one you used most and is it all ambient light?
that last photograph is just amazing!
Hi M.! The lens I use the most would have to be the 50 or 85mm. I seem to “see” in those focal lengths, if you know what I mean! All of the photos except those shot in the reception hall (minus a handful, you can probably guess which ones!) were taken with an SB900 flash bounced off the ceiling.
Hope that helps, and thanks for stopping by!
Amazing photographs that tell such a happy story. Great work.
