Chipwich Island (Lunch 03-01-2011)

Doesn’t that sound like the most amazing vacation spot on the face of the Earth? Too bad it doesn’t exist. Or maybe it’s a good thing it doesn’t exist, since I just got way too excited fantasizing about a fictional island where sandwiches stacked with potato chips are an unlimited resource.
Well, the point of this post was not for me to look like a weirdo (too late!) but for me to say… If you’ve never had a chipwich, you’re missing out.
If I wasn’t already set into the photography life, I’d totally start a chipwich food cart.
And all the island talk? We just acquired a kitchen island from some neighbors down the hall who’re moving to California. I christened it this morning with the above chipwich. The wood is a little beat up, which means I’m totally in love.
This chipwich was made with Paesano bread, Wellshire Farms pastrami, mayo, Dijon mustard, thinly sliced purple onion, Colby Jack cheese and Sour Cream Cheddar potato chips.

kitchen islands are for winners. you my friend, are a winner.
Chipwiches are huge in my family. My Mom likes Salami sandwiches with BBQ chips. I still do this sometimes at sandwich places too, only when no one is looking :)
Here is a combo I dare you to try: Chicken Noodle Soup with PB&J dipped in it. My Mom started that in our house and Brooke and I did it occasionally. It gets the sandwich melty and salty……half of me thinks its the perfect combo and the rest of me is disgusted I ever did that!
Lunch Time!
WHOA. Britt. I dunno… I’m all about the sweet + salty combo but that might even be a little too rich for my blood. Next time I’m having chicken noodle soup, though, I’ll (try) to try it, hah. :)
looks delicious.

I LOVE Chipwiches! My fave is the
Tuna topped with Ruffles with rrrridges.
Yum. Yum. :09
Yum! I think my chipwiches (from back in the day) consisted of white bread (when at a friend’s house), some type of meat, mayo, cheese, and ruffles or lays.
Omg, I’ve spent my life being made fun of for my chipwich fascination/addiction! For me, regular potato chips are a go-to staple, but nothing beats the nacho-cheesy brilliance of a Dorito layer! LOL
It looks slightly green on my screen (but I put it down to garlic in the bread — so no worries :).
really nice series, make me feel at home :)
Oh, that sounds like the perfect kind of sandwich! My family has been making fun of me for years because I make the oddest sandwiches, I guess now they will have another excuse ;)
Thanks guys.

this does not surprise me.
yum! really simple, lovely, rustic shot
