Sorry if my title mislead you – No, I’m not in France at the moment (I wish!). Maybe there is a Kim in a parallel universe that is blogging to you all from France right now, but I’m not her. Sigh.
These postcards have been hanging on my fridge for a couple weeks now. They’re from my friend, Chris, who lives in the Philippines and was recently traveling through Europe. We’ve never met, but he’s an awesome photographer (his People & Portraits is one of my favorite Flickr sets to peruse. Dude knows how to rock the TLR) and an all around cool guy.
Hopefully Chris and I can return the favor soon enough (it’s already been 2 years since we were in Thailand! Guh!) – or, even better, swing by the Philippines on our future tour of the world.
Thanks for the postcards, Chris!

greetings from paris kim :)
pretty lavenders :)
nothing like lavender in the winter. :)
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/26159607@N05] haha! I will admit, I’ve definitely fallen victim to the ease of faves vs. commenting. And thanks, I hope you enjoy the actions! :)
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/keyholez] Oh, bonjour! :)
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/thecheshiresmile] [http://www.flickr.com/photos/11695916@N04] Indeed. They (and the vase) were a Christmas gift from Chris’s Aunt Bongo. There are lavender farms where she lives, it’s amazing.
I have a vase that is so similar, if not the same. It was my Grand Canyon souvenir last year.
I am not sure what it is specifically, but this image just feels good.
Beautiful!!! Stunning shot.
Hey!! I’m hanging out with parallel universe Kim right now, and we decided to rename my neighbourhood the Philippines, and she’s saying that she’s sorry that you’re not her, and also she’s eating lots of cheese!
omg! how can i miss this? those are my postcards! hahaha thanks kim, my heart melted =) i look forward to the day that we one day get to hang out, either there or here at home where you will be welcomed with open arms =)
Seeing this makes me want to brew a cup of tea and catch up on my correspondence. Lovely shot.
Lovely!
